Space Frog on A4 paper , water colour and ink.

Space Frog was inspired by the Utopian worlds of space. What I wanted to do with this painting was find a character which suited a Utopian landscape and that’s how I came up with space frog.

Digital Squid – Blender

Digital Squid is a digital piece I created using the platform Blender. It was inspired by children’s animated film characters. This piece was created with the support from a tutorial on using this software. I really enjoyed the creative process as it was a major turning point in my artistic journey experimenting with digital platforms as medium to create innovative works.

Alien Creature Sketch – Ink and Pencil

This Alien creature sketch is a sketch that I created during a light bulb moment I had when I was coming up with a design for a new new character. I got inspiration from a idea generation prompt in a character design book titled, “The fundamentals of creature design” by Alex Riles. In the future I would love to develop this into a finalised character with colour and a back ground scene.

St James’s Park Pelican -Tonal Pencil drawing on A4 paper

This sketch is of one of the 6 resident pelicans at St. James’s Park in London. I used a reference image for this to ensure I captured all the details and the proportions. I love doing sketches of wildlife and capturing the natural world around me

Architecture Forest Adobe Photoshop

Architecture Forest is a composition I created during my first project of my Ba studies titled “Constructing tastes”. This was a very personal project as I am passionate about the natural world and architecture. In this piece I was exploring how to merge the two aspects together, and through this I explored digital collage to achieve this.

Funny blokeAcrylic on canvas

Funny bloke is a character I designed. I came up with this character when I was doodling in my sketchbook and really liked the features, so I thought I would do a painting of him in bold colours. I really enjoyed over exaggerating his nose as this is the most distinctive feature of “funny bloke”.

pint drinking carp Watercolour on canvas

Pint drinking carp is a piece that I came up with one sunny day in may when I was sitting outside in the garden. I had a light bulb moment and I thought to my self , how about I do a piece to show my passion for fishing. But I thought lets mix a carp with a football fan in a pub drinking a pint of cheap lager.

Apocalyptic Fish – Blender

Apocalyptic Fish is a piece that I did using Blender through a tutorial on how to create a stylized fish character. I thought to my self what would fish look like if there was an apocalypse, and I thought they would look green, so that’s how I came up with apocalyptic fish.

Dune Sandworm Blender

This is a creation inspired by the mammoth sized sandworms in the Sci fi Epic Dune. I created this through a tutorial and I was really happy with the outcome. I have always wanted to create the mammoth sandworms on blender and this was a really good chance to learn new skills and techniques.

Snappy Crocs – Watercolour on Canvas

Snappy crocs is a piece from my Charlie the crocodile character series. This piece is inspired by the style of children’s book illustrations. With this piece my main focus was the composition and the colours.
